Valentine Pretzel Rods

Hi there!

It's always great to have a simple recipe for a sweet treat up your sleeve that looks festive but takes only minutes to make.  This is my "go to" when I need a quick sweet treat for a get together, bake sale, or team party.  You can change the color of the sprinkles to match any holiday or coordinate with team colors.  Packaged in treats bags and tied with a ribbon they also make great party favors or "to go" treats.  The sweet and salty combination makes them oh so yummy!

Tips:

  • The Almond Bark hardens quickly.  If needed, just melt half of the Almond Bark at a time.
  • If the Almond Bark hardens too quickly just pop it in the microwave for 20 second intervals, stirring between, until it's smooth again.
  • Do NOT add water or any type of liquid to Almond Bark.
  • When dipping pretzel rods, tip the glass to get the Almond Bark higher on the rod.
  • After dipping the pretzel rod, twist it to remove excess Almond Bark before adding sprinkles.
  • To help keep sprinkles contained, sprinkle over a pie pan then lay on parchment paper to harden.
